The UK is leading the way in developing cleaner technologies to help us reach our target of zero emissions and the electric revolution is an opportunity for our transport sectors to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels. The benefits of electrification to the rail sector are well documented and with HS2 becoming the first high-speed railway in Europe equipped with overhead lines powering trains to operate at 360km/h, this session will focus on the latest designs of Overhead Catenary Systems, and how the successful implementation can support the country’s carbon reduction targets.
